Stevie Wonder Buys His Stolen Grammy Back on eBay

56-year-old music legend Stevie Wonder has purchased a Grammy that was stolen from him off eBay. The award, which he won in 1974, was presented just three months after he awoke from a coma caused by a car crash.

The Grammy was auctioned by the Profiles In History auction house in Calabasas, California. Police were unable to intervene because the item was never reported stolen making the seller, who purchased the award in New York last year, the legal owner.

Stevie Wonder paid £15,000 to win back what was rightfully his. He has won a record 22 Grammys in total but, according to a friend of his, the 1974 Best Album Award for Innervisions is special.
